February 13th Grooming Report
Stormy Nordic!
While the winter storm watch is ending soon, light snowfall has continued throughout the morning at Trail Creek. Storm totals weren’t too heavy, being in the 6-8 inch range, leaving the trails not too deeply buried in most places. There have been some areas of significant drifting in some places in the fields, but all in all amounts of snow have been quite manageable.
Today’s grooming was a mix of Ginzu grooming and rolling with rolling being the dominant method. No classic tracks were set today although hopefully Sunday will see a return of them as well. Almost all trails did receive multiple passes with the results being soft but surprisingly skiable. A pretty good crowd was out early Saturday morning and even skaters seemed to be making pretty good time. Lots of moose and elk were out today as well.
The Pisten Bully part did arrive late last night although another smaller issue emerged during deconstruction; it currently looks like about Thursday will be the first Pisten Bully grooming day although we might be able to push that up a day.
Our racers are giving it their all today and tomorrow in McCall, ID at the final IMD qualifier of the season. Results will be posted at this site as soon as they are available.
Groomer’s choice for today is Woolsey Woods.
