Skateboard Camp


Our Freeride Program offers skateboard camps throughout the summer.  All camps are coed and can accommodate 13 beginner to advanced skaters ages 6 and up, 5 skaters minimum. Camps are from 9 am to 5 pm.  

2020 camp dates: ALL CAMPS ARE FULL

  • June 16 -17 Camp #1 
  • July 8 - 9 Camp #2
    • July 15 - 16 #2.5 NEWLY Added
  • July 22 - 23 Camp #3 
  • August 12 - 13 Camp #4

Cost for each camp is $200. Early registration is recommended. Program fee is due in full at time of registration. Pick up and drop off at JHSC Offices at the Snow King Sports & Events Center. Camp Details

Skill Development Focus:

  • Basic fundamentals: pumping, pushing, ollies, dropping in, kickflips, boardslides, grinds

  • Bowl & ramp skating

  • General skatepark riding: picking your "line"

  • Skatepark etiquette

  • Skateboard maintenance

  • Flip tricks

  • Ledge tricks

  • Tricks on banks and transition

  • Bowl skating: line choice, skating different features

  • Ramp skating: airs, lip-tricks, incorporating street tricks

  • Games of S.K.A.T.E.

Locations: Jackson Hole, Alpine, Pinedale, Driggs &/or Idaho Falls skateparks. Transportation: is provided in JHSC vehicles. Coaches & vehicles are fully insured.


Available Spots Per Camp: minimum 5, maximum 13


Ages: 6 and up


Ability Level: absolute beginner to expert.  We can accommodate skaters of all ability levels in the same camp


Cost: $200 includes lunch, transportation and instruction.  Full payment due with registration.

Mandatory Equipment:

  • Skateboard (no longboards please)

  • Helmet

  • Appropriate footwear: flat soled sneakers (no sandals or running shoes)

  • Healthy snacks

  • Water

  • Sunscreen

  • Spending money (we tend to stop for milkshakes/treats after a long day skating)

  • Extra layer of clothing
