2021 Camp Information 

Camps are full.

Email to add your child to the waitlist. Please let us know your child's name, age and camp desired.

Our Freeride Program offers skateboard camps throughout the summer.  All camps are coed and can accommodate 10 beginner to advanced skaters ages 6 and up, 5 skaters minimum. Camps are from 9 am to 5 pm.

2021 camp dates: 

  • June 29-30 Camp #1 
  • July 13-14 Camp #2
  • July 27-28 Camp #3 
  • August 10-11 Camp #4

Cost for each camp is $200. Early registration is recommended. Program fee is due in full at time of registration. Pick up and drop off at JHSC Offices at the Snow King Sports & Events Center. Coaches and vehicles are insured by JHSC. Please read our FAQsCamp Refund Policy, and camp details below.

Camp Details

Skill Development Focus:

  • Basic fundamentals: pumping, pushing, ollies, dropping in, kickflips, boardslides, grinds

  • Bowl & ramp skating

  • General skatepark riding: picking your "line"

  • Skatepark etiquette

  • Skateboard maintenance

  • Flip tricks

  • Ledge tricks

  • Tricks on banks and transition

  • Bowl skating: line choice, skating different features

  • Ramp skating: airs, lip-tricks, incorporating street tricks

  • Games of S.K.A.T.E.

Locations: Jackson Hole, Alpine, Pinedale, Driggs &/or Idaho Falls skateparks. Transportation: is provided in JHSC vehicles. Coaches & vehicles are fully insured.

Available Spots Per Camp: minimum 5, maximum 10

Ages: 6 and up

Ability Level: absolute beginner to expert.  We can accommodate skaters of all ability levels in the same camp

Mandatory Equipment:

  • Skateboard (no longboards please)

  • Helmet

  • Appropriate footwear: flat soled sneakers (no sandals or running shoes)

  • Sack lunch and snacks

  • Water

  • Sunscreen

  • Spending money (we tend to stop for milkshakes/treats after a long day skating)

  • Extra layer of clothing

Optional Equipment:

  • Backpack

  • Kneepads

  • Elbow pads

  • Wrist guards

  • Hip pads

  • Sunglasses

Refund Policy:

  • Refunds more than three days prior to camp start date will be issued minus a 20% enrollment deposit.
  • If we are able to fill the vacant spot, we will refund the enrollment deposit.
  • No refund for camp fees will be issued for injuries sustained during camp sessions.
  • No refund for camp fees will be issued three days prior to camp start date for skateboard camps.
  • Skateboard camp fees will be prorated if camp is partially or fully canceled due to weather.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Freeride Program Director.
