March 14th Grooming Report
Final Week for JHSC Youth Programs!
How time flies when you’re having fun! First off, unless something completely unexpected happens, this is not the final week of grooming at Trail Creek. However, with Nationals in the rear view mirror and spring just around the corner, our JHSC youth programs are mostly wrapping things up this week. The word is that there will be quite the celebration on Wednesday, complete with a taco truck. Skiing and tacos, how cool is that!
While tacos might be a bit hard to come by today at Trail Creek, you will find plenty of great Nordic skiing. Since yesterday’s grooming another 2-3 inches of snow fell which the Husky was able to make quick work of this morning. With a busy JHSC program day today as well, much of the focus was on the fields with multiple passes and double classic tracks almost everywhere there. The woods weren’t forgotten either with a skate/classic track nearly everywhere with double passes on Moose Loop and Animal Farm.
The forecast had been calling for a possibility of rain later in the week, but the latest iteration is calling for cooler temps and snow which is a really good thing if you’re still looking for some nice Nordic skiing.
Groomer’s choice for today is Moose Loop.
