February 2nd Grooming Report--Saved by a Rodent!

February 2nd Grooming Report

Saved by a Rodent!

Whether you were in Punxsutawney, PA or Trail Creek, WY, any woodchuck, marmot, or other member of the order Rodentia, Genus Marmota that was crazy enough to stick his head out this morning would have predicted that we have at least six weeks of great skiing yet to go, way to go Marmota monax!

A really great way to use up all that great winter would be to come out to Trail Creek for an awesome Nordic ski.  Conditions this morning are really nice, possibly in one of the “Top Ten Days” of the season category.

Today’s grooming was with the Pisten Bully and covered most every trail.  While a few classic tracks were touched up here and there, they were mostly reset yesterday and are skiing very nicely.  The primary mission of the day was to buff out the skate lanes which resulted in loads of good corduroy and bases that have finally firmed up to the nice and firm category.  Top that off with mostly sunny skies and very pleasant temperatures and any lucky enough to pull off a Nordic ski today won’t be sorry!

Groomer’s choice for today is Faceplant.
