James Ablondi

Born & raised in Jackson, James has a strong grasp on the community and what it’s like to grow up in a Wyoming Ski Town. He was raised with the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club, spending over 10 consecutive years participating in various forms of winter activities from cross county skiing, to a few years as a ski racer to the majority of his time as a member of the Freeride Skiteam. James competed for 6 years as a sponsored athlete on the regional & national stage in a variety of events encompassing slope style, half-pipe & big mountain competitions. After high school, James moved up to Bozeman, MT where he continued his passion for skiing while perusing both a bachelors & a masters degree in environmental design & Architecture from Montana State University. He is currently an Architectural Designer working for a local architecture studio. Though his professional endeavors fall primarily outside the ski club, he is in a unique position to inspire athletes both physically & academically while coaching weeknights at snow king and as a fill-in weekend coach.
