-
Thanks, thanks, thanks! To our many volunteers, sponsors and staff who make this happen
-
JHSC hosted a successful Wild West Classic, one of the largest (field size) annual FIS races in the country
-
JHSC picked up Eric Hays USSA race series from Park City in late December!
-
Snowpack and snow quality had us move Town Downhill to JHMR. Event was a huge success!
Hosting races is something that we do well here at the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club, but running races is only one piece of the larger equation. We are committed to developing the best programming and practices that support those programs as we move forward as an organization. This is most important for our athletes, but also for JHSC families, volunteers, and the community. We will have to work on staffing all these races

Letter to every young adult:
You are unique. No one is like you. No one has all the answers or solutions and no one is perfect either. We all have our imperfections.
You have one life, don't waste it. Have a vision, a dream and a purpose. Never give up on your dreams and pursuit for greatness.
Know that real success is not in how much you have, but in how happy you are.
Give your best every day and don't blame others or make excuses. Take responsibility and be accountable. Stand up for what's right. Do more than what is expected of you.
Believe it or not, but the world owes you nothing. It was here long before you arrived!
Remember that manners are the mark of a man and woman. Waiting for others to exit the elevator before entering, holding a door open for someone, helping a senior with their bags, respecting and being kind to your parents is not old fashioned or uncool. Say "please" and "thank you".
Don't surround yourself with the 'cool people', instead surround yourself with people who really care and who exude good values, principles and qualities. Surround yourself with people who will be there on the dark and rainy days, not just the sunny ones.
Learn to accept feedback and criticism. These are two of the most important things to getting ahead in life. Stop taking it personally all the time. Discipline yourself so that others don't have to.
If you have tough parents, coaches, teachers or adults in your life, then be thankful. Again, you will understand this better and better the more you go through life.
Listen more than you talk. Your ears will never get you in trouble. Also when you talk, you're already telling something you know, but when you listen you learn.
Get a good education. But always understand that no matter how smart you think you might be, its your attitude, inter-personal skills, work ethic and reliability that will always get you further in life. Your best ability is going to be your like-ability.
When obstacles and problems arise, and they will, face them, fight them and overcome them, but most importantly learn from them.
Know your strengths and maximize them. Practice self awareness and get better at your weaknesses.
Understand that risk and failure are part of success, not the opposite of it.
Also Know that life is not always fair, but when you embrace the challenges and obstacles with a positive attitude, you will overcome them. Never turn down the opportunity to build resilience or grit.
Most of all, be kind, we are all fighting something. Don't be quick to judge either, we don't know all the details or facts.
Stay humble, have empathy and a better understanding of others. I promise you this will save you a load of energy and possibly even enemies.
Never mistake kindness for weakness. In fact kindness, love and empathy are three of the greatest strengths a human being can ever have.
Give back, others need your kindness, help and support. No, believe it or not, you don't own all the worlds problems.
Learn to Give more than you get.
Practice thoughtfulness- the act of thinking of others more than yourself.
Never forget that others will be more inspired, not by your perfections, but by you facing and overcoming your imperfections.
If you have a roof above your head and a meal each night for dinner, you already have more than 78% of the world. Think about that for a second.
Remember that somebody always has it much worse off than you.
If you're ever feeling lonely, depressed, or even suicidal, then tell somebody. These are battles you can't and shouldn't fight alone. Don't be afraid to speak about an illness or something that is holding you back. This is real strength!
Remember, that we are all fighting something. Don't be afraid to reach out.
Always believe in yourself. You have what it takes, it just comes down to you believing in yourself and stepping forward into the unknown and uncomfortable. Ignore those who want to harm you by words or actions.
Let go of ego, it's a life limiter. Never become entitled either. Again, stay humble.
Never waste a talent or gift. Believe me it's a regret you will have later on in life if you did not maximize what you were given by God.
And finally, take the time to thank others who have helped you in any way or manner. In fact, write a hand written note to your Teachers, parents, coaches, whoever. It means way more than an email or text.
It shows you really care!
Always practice gratitude, smile and enjoy this moment. Because this moment is your life.
Most of all, know that you are loved.
