March 11th Grooming Report

Daring Descent!

As part of the end of season festivities yesterday, the Junior team got a shuttle to the top of Teton Pass so that they could ski all the way down to Trail Creek.  Sounds like an exciting adventure and based on the tracks this morning, it looks like most of them made it!

If you make it out to Trail Creek today what you will discover is plenty of sunshine, a chinook like breeze, and a warm grooming report time temperature of 45º.  You’ll also discover that the Husky has been busy today, with the early morning work focusing on a pass through the woods.  Classic tracks had melted quite a bit so were reset pretty much everywhere and Moose Loop received two passes.  Grooming then shifted to the fields with multiple passes and fresh classic tracks.  Skiers today will notice some new connections have been put in for the upcoming Skinny Skis Wydaho Season Finale and International Spring Series races.  As of report time the snow is softening, but it should be a fun day to ski.

Results are coming in from Junior Nationals with some impressive finishes.  In yesterday’s 7.5 K classic race former JHSC skier Lucas Wilmot was the fastest male U20 skier in the nation and Lena Poduska was the fastest female in U18 and U20 in the nation, coming in 26.4 seconds ahead of the closest competition.  Check out all the results at Muddy Dog Sports.

Groomer’s choice for today is Moose Loop.
