December 12th Grooming Report
Rolling on a Monday!
In the past 24 hours we’ve received a good 6 inches of warm and relatively wet snow at Trail Creek. The first grooming attempt of the day was to put in a classic track with the Ginzu, however, the warm snow was not in a cooperative mood in that it refused to flow through the Ginzu, turning it into kind of a big snow plow. After making some reasonable classic tracks in the Close Field and Woolsey Woods, the decision was made to park it for the day and depend upon our new and very dependable roller.
Multiple passes were made throughout the network with at least double passes everywhere and triple passes on the Close Field, Armin’s, and Moose Loop. A little bit of new trail was set today, linking the Close Field to Son of Gutflop which tends to be a favorite of our younger teams.
Results are available for the weekend’s great racing not only from IMD racing in Sun Valley (Coach Will reported a successful weekend), but now the high school results from Laramie are available on the Wyoprep site.
Assuming the forecast for only minimal precipitation in the next 24 hours comes true, look for fresh classic tracks and Ginzu skate lanes on Tuesday.
Groomer’s choice for today is a rustic cruise through the East Fields.
