December 11th Grooming Report
Snowy Sunday!
The frozen bounty from above continues to grace the trails today at Trail Creek with an additional 6-10 inches expected over the next 48 hours. We are continuing to run ahead of normal, still maintaining 137% of normal precipitation on our local snow reporting site.
Today’s grooming was an early morning outing with the Ginzu groomer. Yesterday’s classic tracks were hanging in the pretty well so the focus today was to buff out yesterday’s skate tracks. The Ginzu covered pretty much every trail, you can check out the map of grooming on the Nordic Pulse website. Our link to the site is working pretty well although there are a few trails which are not quite recording properly as today nearly every trail was groomed although a few don’t show as being groomed that were.
In other Nordic news, IMD racing is continuing today in Sun Valley, you can follow along on the Sun Valley Ski Foundation website. High school racing in Laramie wrapped up yesterday although word has not yet been received as to results. We are working hard to get our Husky back on the trails, not exactly sure how long it is going to take but will let you know as soon as we know more, thanks so much for your understanding. Finally on the wildlife front, our friendly fox has been spotted numerous times around the cabin, the moose population is a little lighter than past years with several bulls and cow calf pairs being spotted, and our resident elk herd continues to enjoy our grooming and seem to be much more sociable than in years past.
Groomer’s choice for today is a nice snowy tour through the woods.
