November 29th Grooming Report
Sun and Snow!
There’s something for everybody today at Trail Creek, if you love sunshine the sun has been peeking through most of the morning, if you love fresh snow, the flakes have been falling most of the morning as well. With the snow fall hushing the woods and the little bit of sun making for some fantastic lighting, it has all the makings for a magical Nordic ski, especially if you throw in a whole bunch of fresh Husky grooming!
Very early this morning a pair of foxes was romping about the Close Field. They didn’t seem too concerned about human presence; they left tracks all around the cabin and on a lot of our other trails as well. If you are lucky, you might glimpse them and their contributions to reducing the rodent pressure in the cabin is always appreciated.
Today’s grooming was with the Husky and on most trails except for the East Fields and a few minor woods trails. The Close Field, Woolsey Woods, and Armin’s all received double passes. All of the double groomed sections received some classic tracks as well, they are a little sketchy in Woolsey due to the early season conditions, but you’ll find respectable classic tracks in the Close Field and on Armin’s. The 2-3 inches of snow make for nice conditions pretty much everywhere, making it a great day for a Nordic ski.
Groomer’s choice for today is Armin’s.
