March 26th Grooming Report

2024-2025 Teewinot Teams!

This is the age of skiers (second and third graders) that have begun to master skiing and are truly masters of having a great time while skiing.  It doesn’t hurt that they have a great group of coaches to guide and encourage them, but a Teewinot sighting is always a special thing.  Congratulations to all the skiers and coaches for pulling off a great season!

You can pull off a great ski if you come out to Trail Creek today.  The Husky was busy once again, covering nearly every trail.  Today’s focus was mainly on the skate lanes and while a leaky antifreeze line did cut into grooming time, as of report time there is plenty of good, if very warm  (46º) skiing at Trail Creek.

Looking ahead, tomorrow morning will mostly be pulling signs with the snow machine. Thursday evening will be a grooming of the courses for the International Spring Series races course inspection day on Friday.  Friday morning will be simply a quick pass through the non-race trails in the woods.  Race grooming will happen on evenings until Tuesday with a last pass through the non-race course in the woods on Monday morning.

Groomer’s choice for today is to enjoy the beyond cerulean blue skies and corn snow in the fields (with sunscreen).
