March 23rd Grooming Report
2024-2025 JHSC Devo Team!
The really fast skiers pictured above are members of the 2024-2025 Devo team led by Coach Kaya and crew. These fourth and fifth graders have been having lots of adventures at Trail Creek this season and are starting to dip their toes into the world of Nordic racing. Congratulations to skiers and coaches for a great season!
Your Nordic season is nowhere near ending if you come out to Trail Creek today for a great ski. Since yesterday’s grooming about 5 inches of snow have fallen across our trails. The Husky’s early morning grooming began with a trip through the woods. Classic tracks were reset everywhere with multiple passes on Woolsey Woods, Animal Farm, and Olympic.
Grooming then shifted to the fields with most trails receiving multiple passes and fresh classic tracks. Even some of the alternative trails for next weekend’s International Spring Series races received light grooming today as well. As of report time conditions are mostly cloudy, calm, and with a temperature of 26º. Skiing is quite lovely today!
Groomer’s choice for today is Woolsey Woods.
