Tyra Wynn

Tyra grew up in upstate New York and has been on some form of skis since she could walk. She spent high school racing Nordic with her school and club teams and traveling to New England for Eastern Cups. Tyra Nordic skied for Williams College during her first year, and the remaining three years she ran cross country and track while continuing to ski just for the love of it. At Williams, Tyra studied Geoscience and teaching and did a semester-long NOLS course. After graduating, she moved to Jackson, where in addition to coaching Nordic, she instructs alpine and telemark skiing. She is so grateful that despite a short-lived competitive career, she learned a love and appreciation for Nordic skiing that is unfailing: she believes that's what the sport is all about and hopes to help others experience the same.
