I grew up in Upstate New York and have been on some form of skis since I could walk. I spent high school racing Nordic with my school and club teams and traveling to New England for Eastern Cups. I raced Nordic at Williams College my first year, and the remaining three years I raced cross country and track while continuing to ski just for the love of it. While at Williams I studied Geoscience and teaching and did a semester-long NOLS course. After graduating I moved to Jackson, where in addition to Nordic coaching I instruct alpine and telemark skiing. I’m so grateful that despite my short-lived competitive career I learned a love and appreciation for the sport that is unfailing. That’s what the sport is all about and I hope to help others experience the same.
