December 1st Grooming Report

Making Lemonade?!

The lemon of the day was that one of the fittings on the Pisten Bully developed a leak late in the day yesterday and although as of report time at 1 PM it is up and running once again, today’s grooming took place with the Ginzu Groomer .  How might that make lemonade you might ask?  The Ginzu Groomer’s classic track setter doesn’t have tons of steel pulling it along so it is much more able to deal with hitting obstacles buried just below the surface of the snow.  Therefore, for the first time of the season, universal classic tracks have been set throughout the groomed trails at Trail Creek

Currently the temperature is -2ºC/28ºF with cloudy skies and light breezes.  The Ginzu Groomer made numerous passes through the close field and at least two passes elsewhere resulting in tracks not quite as firm as the Pisten Bully would make but none the less some pretty nice skiing and lots of classic tracks.  The classic tracks do tend to have a bit of skitter here and then due to some complicating factors, but the bottom line is if you make it out skiing today, you should have a good time.  Look for the Pisten Bully to be back at it again tomorrow.

Groomer’s choice for today is Animal Farm.
