January 26th Grooming Report
Promise of a Great Day!
As the sun was beginning to feel its way over the Gros Ventre range early this morning, the Husky was chugging along, laying down the base of a great Nordic ski! While the temps were definitely on the chilly side this morning, being in the negative Fahrenheit range, the forecast is very promising with predictions of glorious sunshine and rapidly warming temperatures up the near 20º.
Today’s grooming began Saturday evening with a Husky pass through the woods to take the opportunity to work the snow before it had a chance to get really cold. Then early morning grooming resumed finishing off the fields. All in all, results were favorable, classic tracks were reset on the narrower trails sections, but left mostly untouched in the wider trails as they are in nice shape. The close field received multiple skate passes, skiing will be nice today, especially this afternoon as conditions warm, just don’t forget your sunscreen.
Groomer’s choice for today is the sunny fields.
