January 9th Grooming Report

Hard Working Trails!

It was another very busy day yesterday at Trail Creek with all programs on snow, not to mention a few ordinary skiers just out having a good time.  Thanks to Teewinot Coach Libby for the great shot above and former Coach Kathy for the shot of Coach Adam and his Lollipopper brood below.

Moving onto today, there is a gloriously blue sky dominating the terrain.  While the forecast was originally calling for a bit of a dry spell this week, we ended up getting a bonus inch or two yesterday which proceeded to make the Husky very happy today and when the Husky is happy, it cranks out lots of great trails.  Today’s route covered most every trail in the network with multiple passes in the Close Field.  Pretty much every classic track was reset as well.

Looks like it’s going to be a great day Saturday at the Teton Ridge Classic, word has it that many IMD racers we will be in attendance so it will be a great chance to test yourself against our best.  Registration closes tomorrow at 5.  Also the JH Nordic Free Day is on Sunday, don’t forget, and finally another good round of snow is headed our way over the weekend, the forecast is currently calling for up to a foot.  As of report time the temp was already up to 15ºF with Nordic friendly temperatures through the weekend.

Groomer’s choice for today is Shades of Gray.
