December 30th Grooming Report--East Fields!

December 30th Grooming Report

East Fields!

Permission came in yesterday to proceed as there was enough snow to venture into the East Fields, so today permission became reality and the Husky made its maiden journey around one of the favorite trails of Trail Creek.  Gut Flop is still in the wait and see mode and the freshly groomed trails will be pretty soft for a few days, but it will ski pretty well today and as time goes on it will only get better and better.

The rest of the system is skiing quite well today.  We only got about 3-5 inches of snow in the past 24 hours, a little less than forecast and the Husky was able to make quick work of the new addition with multiple passes through the Close Field with fresh classic tracks and mostly a single skate/classic pass through all the woods trails.

The Juniors are into their Monday training session already, with Wednesday off and Friday afternoon on the schedule.  Prep/Comp skiers will be training every afternoon this week, the grooming department is not quite sure what the Devo schedule is this week, and the Nordic Master skiers are scheduled for a session Thursday at the Teton Pines.

Groomer’s choice for today is to make your first tracks of the season in the East Fields.
