U14/U16 Hood Camp

The JHSC U14 and U16 went to Mt.Hood in Oregon July 14-20 with coaches Ned, Maci and Kristin! The weather and conditions could not have been better! Snow reacted well to salt which made for very productive conditions and the weather in the afternoons was perfect for dryland exploration! Ned made his famous crepe recipe for dessert one night which was a huge success! The kids are already looking forward to having them in Panorama!

Austria Fall Camp

The U16 Team will take a large group to Hintertux, Austria for a 10 day training camp in early October. Athletes will experience European culture, cuisine and the Zillertal Alps up close! We are really looking forward to bringing this camp back after taking a year off!

World Cup Ski Racing - USA

This year the US will be hosting 11 FIS Alpine World Cup events! New to the calendar is Birds of Prey Women’s speed event and World Cup Finals at Sun Valley. This is the first ever back-to-back Men’s and Women’s speed races at Beaver Creek and the first time World Cup Finals have been hosted in the US since 2017. These additional events are a great representation of the growth in Alpine skiing participation and fan base. World cup finals feature the top 25 male and female athletes from each discipline. The opportunity to attend high level competitions so close to home is one that shouldn’t be missed to inspire the next generation of athletes! Last year the JHSC FIS team had the opportunity to be course crew, also known as “Talon Crew”, at Birds of Prey and is sure to not be an experience soon forgotten for them!
