HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Conditions in Jackson
Despite having a low snowpack to start the season, we are actually doing much better than most resorts in the nation! The Alpine Program hosted a FIS Series at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort early December and immediately following held the Sean Nurse Memorial Series at Snow King Mountain Resort! Both venues were able to provide high quality conditions for all racers that attended! Upwards of 10 outside teams came to Snow King for training in December since there home mountains were lacking terrain to provide good training.
December Race Results
The Western Region Elite FIS tech series at JHMR brought with it large field sizes with deep talent! Mattias Wilson took a 2nd place spot among the U18’s! Congrats Mattias and all the other local FIS racers that started the season off with good results! A week later at Snow King on an amazing early season surface we hosted our Sean Nurse Memorial Series! This series has been mainly a U16 race where second year U14’s are able to race and work towards lower their points as they move closer to being a U16! The series brought over 200 athletes to Snow King to get the season started here in Jackson! Shout outs are in order for Jaden D’Amours and Taylor Moe who were the Overall Winners and will get their names on the trophy along with many remarkable athletes of their time!
