December 24th Grooming Report
A Fantastic Day!
A huge crowd of skiers and spectators gathered at Trail Creek yesterday for the Betty Woolsey Memorial Race. Fantastic speeds, fantastic Nordic camaraderie, and simply a fantastic good time were had by all that made the journey to Trail Creek for this annual tradition.
Times of the more serious racers can be found on the event website and if you aren’t familiar with the legacy of Betty Woolsey, more information can be found on this JHSC Hall of Fame page.
Many thanks to the racers, spectators, and especially the JHSC staff that made the great day a reality!
Today’s Christmas Eve grooming was a Ginzu best line skate pass of most every trail that has been groomed so far this year with multiple passes on Armin’s and the Close Field. The bit of fresh snow we’ve received along with some very “Nordic Friendly” temps will make for a great early season ski today if you’re lucky enough to be able to work Trail Creek into your schedule. Look for a reduced grooming schedule in the days ahead until we finally get into some hopefully serious winter snow.
Groomer’s choice for today is a long Christmas Eve tour of Trail Creek.
