January 6th Grooming Report
To Storm or Not to Storm!
While the persistent dark gray skies over the western mountain ridge tops and even the forecast indicate a lot of snow today, so far it’s not quite happening. About 6 inches did fall yesterday afternoon after grooming finished, but overnight up to report time only a couple more have come. As of 11:20 AM there is light snowfall with a light to moderate breeze.
The Husky has been hard at it today, catching up from all the recent accumulations. Nearly every trail got at least a single pass today with most receiving classic tracks as well. The Close Field, Upper East Fields, Moose Loop, and Homesite all got double passes. Also the sprint course in the Close Field was rescued from the recent massive dumpage. Skiing will be a little soft today, but beautiful and lovely.
Coach Kathy’s Wednesday Lollipoppers were relishing in the powder yesterday, who really needs a groomer? A final note; a slightly nervous cow moose was close to the cabin today with her small calf, keep your eyes peeled.
Groomer’s choice for today is Moose Loop.
