November 20th Grooming Report
Nothing but Blue Skies!
A lovely day is in process today at Trail Creek with plenty of sunshine and very pleasant, “just shy of freezing” temperatures which would make a great Nordic skiing well within your reach if your agenda has room. The image above pretty much tells the whole story; while the trails are a little on the rough side for the time being, yesterday’s inch of fresh snow has resulted in a firm but malleable surface that should ski pretty well.
Classic tracks are mostly missing today although the Pisten Bully did carefully venture out for a single pass in the close field, dropping classic tracks en-route with mostly skiable results. Classic skiers however should do just fine skiing the main tracks and multiple skaters had already been out this morning making good time.
Construction is continuing in the woods with electrical cables being buried today. The image above was just after the contractor had crossed Upper Armin’s. While the trails will be a bit messed up until we get more snow, this contractor was doing the best job he could to minimize our impact and leveled things nicely after finishing. Please be patient and we will do our best to keep you skiing! The spectacle of what’s going on is kind of fascinating to watch.
Groomer choice for today is the Sunny Close Field.
