February 11th Grooming Report
Snow Angels!
In addition to snow angels, yesterday’s outing found icicles, pine cones, chickadees, animal tracks, squirrels, the Nordic cow bell, feathers, and bird nests which were all part of Lollipopper practice. Thanks to Coach Libby for forwarding the images and giving us all a look back into what it was that brought us into the Nordic world and how to continue to value the little things (and ones) in life!
There is plenty of room for your very own snow angel if you make it out to Trail Creek today. In addition to all the wonderful Lollipopper discoveries you will find 15+ kilometers of freshly groomed ski trails. Today’s grooming was mostly best line Pisten Bully skate grooming as yesterday’s classic tracks are still quite nice. The double classic tracks in the close field were reset today.
Conditions as of 11:30 were slightly chilly with a temperature of -16ºC/4ºF, calm winds, and partly cloudy skies. Quite a few moose were out today with two confirmed sightings of antlers yet which is getting kind of late for them to be still hanging on the moose. The guy above was feeling kind of photogenic today.
Groomer’s choice for today is Armin’s.
