December 17th Grooming Report
Looking Ahead!
We’ve entered the main Nordic season time of the year and the upcoming schedule is nothing but thrilling and busy. The high school and many IMD racers will take the long trek to Happy Jack for Friday and Saturday’s Wyoming High School Nordic meet hosted by Laramie. Local racers have a great opportunity to gather, socialize, and race at Saturday’s Santa’s Relays at the Teton Pines, and don’t forget the Betty Woolsey Classic race is less than two weeks away here at Trail Creek. Amazing the Nordic opportunities we have living in our awesome community.
If you are looking for a little awesome Nordic skiing today, it is your lucky Tuesday. Come on out to Trail Creek and you’ll discover over 15 kilometers of fresh grooming. 11:30 AM conditions are clear, calm and with a temperature of -14ºC/7ºF.
Today’s grooming mission was primarily best line Pisten Bully skate passes. The recent benign weather has allowed trails to firm nicely and recent classic tracks are all in pretty good shape. The Nordic X course received additional grooming today and while not really skiable right now, tomorrow when all the new snow piles get leveled should provide the first opportunity for extreme Nordic thrill seekers.
Groomer’s choice for today is the much tamer Boiler area.
