February 26th Grooming Report
There’s a Truck Somewhere Here!
The Lollipoppers where getting pretty far out into the woods last night and were checking out Sam the Truck who’s top is now currently sitting at about the same level as the top of the snow, thanks to Coach Kathy for the great photo!
Today at Trail Creek the Pisten Bully once again ventured out into the ongoing storm. The deep new snow is doubly challenging to deal with as the temperatures have been hovering right around freezing which causes the snow to stick instead of flowing freely. The image below shows the track on the Pisten Bully which is not supposed to be encrusted in snow.
In spite of the challenging conditions quite a bit was groomed today with double passes on Woolsey Woods, Homeward/Outward Bound, Moose Loop, the close field, Homesite/Suicide, and a slightly modified Black Hole/Boiler loop. Also the snowmobile made a pass through the East Fields if someone is looking for an adventure classic ski.
Conditions are a bit tough today but it is worth it just to see all the snow. Many of our 5 foot tall trail markers are currently buried.
Groomer’s choice for today is a classic tour through the woods.
