Freeride Program - September Newsletter

The JHSC Freeride Program just wrapped up a very successful summer season. Our program brought 23 athletes to Woodward at Copper, CO, for summer training. In addition, we hosted 7 summer skateboard camps, in which our athletes (new and seasoned) pushed their abilities on concrete to progress in summer and eventually on snow. Below is a video recap of our skateboard camps. Finally, please read an amazing article written by Freeski Coach, Toby Koekkoek, about Freeride Program alumni, Jack Hessler. Jack was an anchor for the Snowboard Team for many years, and, once again, he is demonstrating leadership by sharing his story about being a gay professional snowboarder.

The Freeride Program has seen notable growth with registration for this winter season. We have only a few spots left, so if you're interested in our programming, competitions, and travel opportunities, please contact Andy Lex at andy@jhskiclub.org with questions. Wishing you all a wonderful September, and we're looking forward to seeing our older athletes in October for dryland training.
