March 6th Grooming Report
Hands Free Nordic Donuts!
Thanks to Coach Libby for sending in some more great Teewinot photos from yesterday! She reported:
Today the Teewinots combined their love of costumes with donuts in an obstacle course. They cruised through a bamboo forest, navigated a slalom course and ate donuts with no hands - not an easy feat, especially on skis! Teewinots make agility practice look easy and fun!
Pack your donut and come on out to Trail Creek today for a great Nordic ski. Since yesterday’s grooming we’ve received nearly four inches of relatively heavy spring snow. As of report time the temperature is exactly at freezing and while still snowing lightly, it feels like it is winding down for the day.
Today’s Husky grooming began with a journey through pretty much every trail in the woods. Since snow was falling, today’s path was mostly a best line pass with a fresh classic track. Olympic and Animal farm did receive multiple passes.
Grooming then switched to the fields with multiple passes on nearly every trail and mostly fresh double classic tracks. The Nordic X also a fresh pass. Skiing is just a little soft, but the corduroy looks beautiful and it is simply another great day for a Nordic ski!
Groomer’s choice for today is Olympic.
