March 5th Grooming Report--Adorable Lollipoppers!

March 5th Grooming Report

Adorable Lollipoppers!

Thanks to Coach Adam for sending in a great image of the tough job of being a Lollipopper coach.  In addition to the kindergarten and first grade Lollipoppers, there will be lots of Teewinots, Devos, Juniors, and Prep/Comp skiers at Trail Creek this busy afternoon.

Morning has already been pretty busy with a couple of skiers giving the stadium a thorough thrashing in what looks to be a lesson.  Never fear, there’s still plenty of great skiing today at Trail Creek.  As the Husky ventured forth this morning, the initial agenda was to reset the woods trails, focusing on skate lanes along the way.  Yesterday’s moderate temps coupled with a dusting of snow left classic tracks mostly pristine and the recent snow and warm temps today allowed the skate lanes to form beautifully.

Grooming then shifted to the fields with most trails receiving multiple passes with fresh classic tracks.  In anticipation of a busy practice schedule, most all of the minor and funky trails and play areas received attention as well.  The Nordic X was groomed and received a substantial rebuild as grooming wrapped up.

The moose have been quite active lately, if you look closely in the image above you can see one moose and the image below shows three if you look carefully.  However, even with a few moose tracks, skiing should be great today.

Groomer’s choice for today is the fields.
