March 21st Grooming Report
Sun and Clouds!
Typical March weather is in full force at Trail Creek as of late, with bits of snow, a sprinkle or two of rain, and periods of lovely blue skies. While night time temperatures have not been down in the “really firm up the crust range” for a couple of days, the day time highs have been quite moderate preserving the nice springtime conditions we have been experiencing.
Today’s grooming again happened last night. Classic tracks were in pretty good shape and were untouched, while most skate lanes received multiple Ginzu passes. As grooming was wrapping up last night the earlier passes were already firming up nicely and should ski well this morning.
For the next grooming the weather will be watched closely. If it looks as if more than a couple of inches will fall overnight then grooming will be Sunday morning; if not then Saturday evening will be the grooming time. It looks like some significant snow is coming Monday and Tuesday. Happy Birthday Mom!
