March 1st Grooming Report
It’s Been a While!
It’s been a while since that strange color has appeared in the sky, but for a change it is kind of nice. It’s a lovely day at Trail Creek today with a powerful March sun still beaming down at noon, temps at -2ºC/28ºF, and a calm wind. Not only is what you see above looking kind of nice, looking down at your skis will also open a great vista of nearly every trail having received Pisten Bully grooming this morning. Fresh classic tracks and skate lanes are the norm, and although the snow is still in the process of falling into its role as a ski base, 90% has joined the mission; while there are a few spots that still need a pass or two with the Pisten Bully to be fully on board with providing the best possible Nordic experience, if you do have a chance to enjoy a TGIF ski outing, you should find plenty of joy.
The votes have been coming in on the snowy cabin and although the opinion is not universal, it seems that perhaps the axiom of recency at least has been dominating with 2019 the winning cabin so far. Thanks to all who voted.
Looking ahead light snow and seasonally cool temps are forecast which should result in some nice skiing in the days to come.
Groomer’s choice for today is Armin’s.
