March 18th Grooming Report

A Brisk Morning

It was a brisk morning at Trail Creek, with temperatures a few degrees below zero and clear blue skies. This resulted in somewhat challenging grooming conditions, as trails more closely resembled ice than snow, while the Husky still resembles a Husky and not a Zamboni. Some experimental approaches were attempted around the Fields, which on the whole worked out fairly well and should result in a crisp, clean glide.

Today’s grooming was mostly a best-line pass through the woods, though some trails were omitted as much slower speeds were needed to create any form of corduroy. Additionally, there was a triple pass around the perimeter of the fields with a new classic track set.

Groomer’s choice for today is the perimeter of the Fields.
