March 12th Grooming Report

The New Groomers!

Yesterday was the last big day of practice for the 2019-2020 season, a truly festive event, with this pair of young fellows more than willing to take a shot at grooming some trails.  Possible parental objections were heeded and they were told that they needed to wait a few years.  It was amazing to see the progress made as all of these young Nordic skiers demonstrated their amazing prowess on the snow.

More prowess was shown yesterday at nationals in California with lots of great finishes including Elijah Weenig’s third place in the freestyle sprints.  Our racer's results are featured in the image below, click on it for all the details.

Today’s grooming at Trail Creek happened last night with the Ginzu Groomer.  All major trails received multiple skate passes with the fields receiving new classic tracks.  Temps today are not supposed to be quite as warm as yesterday but by mid-morning on you should be able to find plenty of nice skiing.  The next grooming will be Thursday evening.

Groomer’s choice for today is an afternoon ski in the woods.
