Alpine Program Update

The Alpine Program has kicked off the 23-24 season with a bang! Athletes and coaches took some much deserved time off after the ski season, and they are rested and ready to tackle what this next season has in store. We have U16 & FIS athletes improving a range of skills and body performance goals in the gym during dryland, 5 days a week! We had U14-FIS athletes attending Spring Camps at nearby Snowbird for 2 long weekends in May, and now the summer camp sessions are in full swing! We have a talented group of senior athletes returning to the U16 & FIS levels, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for them!: the next generation of rippers are currently skiing at Mt. Hood, enjoying some winter-y conditions and all of what the Mt. Hood area has to offer!

Summer On-Snow Training

JHSC Alpine has many off season training options for all ages! Spring/Summer skiing is a great way to work on technical & tactical fundamentals without the pressure of in-season races approaching. Mt. Hood is a pretty amazing place to be during Summer; besides the skiing, there are endless adventures and activities to do in the area! It's fun not only for the athletes in camp but for parents, too. We look forward to another productive and fun camp season. Our teams have been traveling a bunch already this spring/summer and have a few amazing trips yet to come!

FIS: Snowbird (May), Mammoth (June) & Chile (August)

U14/U16 : Snowbird (May), Mt. Hood (July)

U10/U12 : Mt. Hood (June)

Summer Dryland Training

The off-season is the time to get your body and mind ready for the ski season ahead. It is incredibly important to work on your physical strength, agility, cardio, balance, and mind in the Summer/Fall months. We are currently offering dryland workouts for U16 & FIS athletes on Monday–Friday mornings at the Club. If you happen to see these athletes out working hard, give them a positive shout out! Every little bit of motivation helps. Great work, everyone, and let's keep pushing to meet those Winter goals!
