January 9th Grooming Report

The Power of Lollipoppers!

Both Coach Libby and Coach Kathy sent in some great reports yesterday about the current class of Lollipoppers crushing the trails here at Trail Creek.  Click on the image above for a video demonstrating the determination of these wee skiers and the image below is some serious training in the form of “horse and carriage”; how would you like to do that with your significant other?  Way to go Lollipoppers, keep up the good work!

If your good work today includes some Nordic skiing, you’ll surely be able to find that at Trail Creek today.  Noon conditions are continued light snowfall, calm winds, and a temperature of -4ºC/25ºF.  Since yesterday’s grooming we have received around a half foot of additional snow.

On the negative side the Pisten Bully is still awaiting diagnosis of its malaise, hopefully we will know soon, however we are making progress with the snow machine grooming and coming close to catching up.  All trails received roller grooming today which was then followed by Ginzu classic tracks on almost every trail as well.  We even had some time for additional Ginzu skate grooming in the fields so while classic skiers will find mostly nothing but white joy today, even skaters should be able to make reasonable progress.

Groomer’s choice for today is Armin’s.
