January 9th Grooming Report
Blast from the Past!
Those of you who’ve skied around the track a time or two will probably recognize the graphics above, the work of one of the long time members of our community. To go back to the end of the season report from 2005 you can read the entire report here. Hopefully we can get a little more information from “Mr. O’Klister” in a future edition as he is at least partially hanging up his skis in pursuit of warmer activities.
Moving to the present, it is simply an awesome day to ski at Trail Creek. As of noon the temperature is -7ºC/20ºF with sunny skies and calm winds. Today’s Pisten Bully grooming totally reworked the fields with double classic tracks and about the “best of the season” conditions. All woods trails received at least skate grooming with most of the close woods receiving a classic touch up as well. Look for a rework of all woods classic tracks tomorrow.
Groomer’s choice for today is Grunt.
