January 23rd Grooming Report
A Fantastic Weekend Part 2!
Yesterday it was noted in this report, the fantastic performance of our athletes at the Super Qualifier in Utah over the weekend; however, Coach Kathy stayed closer to home and was able to work with some more of our athletes in the Spud Chase over the hill on Saturday as well. In the image above is Teewinot Dylan Aufderheide 1st in 3k overall and the image below features Junior racers Atten Aronowitz 2nd and Tirzah Ellis 1st in the 6k. Congratulations to these racers too and thanks to Coach Kathy for supporting her skiers and sending in the pictures.
Back at Trail Creek another busy week is once again upon us. The most recent addition bringing us to an even busier state is the addition of the Colter and Wilson Elementary winter sports programs which are most likely skiing at Trail Creek mid-day Wednesday and Friday. The full schedule is below. Of note most high school age skiers will be off to Casper for another Wyoming High School Nordic race next weekend.
Today’s Husky grooming covered almost every woods trail with a single pass, laying in fresh classic tracks where needed and on narrower sections. The fields all received multiple passes with fresh double classic tracks and all of the play areas and the Nordic X course received grooming as well in anticipation of a busy day.
Groomer’s choice for today is to ski around the sunny fields.
