January 21st Grooming Report
Working on the Trails!
By noon yesterday the temperature was still far enough below zero that practices were cancelled for the day. While two or three hardy skiers did make it out to enjoy some wide open trails yesterday, all in all tracks were close to nil on the trails this morning. Instead of wasting some diesel fuel, the call today was to take advantage of the situation and head out with the snowmobile and do a little work on the trails. The last few signs were placed and some branches that had been whacking the Husky are no more.
The wind is forecast to pick up enough this afternoon to blow out the inversion, and although the report temperature is still -7ºF, if things go according to plan, Tuesday programs will be at Trial Creek today. Thanks to Coach Libby for the great image below from last week.
Regular grooming is scheduled to resume tomorrow morning.
