January 21st Grooming Report
Podium Finish!
JHSC skier Lena Poduska claimed a third place finish in yesterday’s Super Qualifier in Utah at Soldier Hollow, way to go Lena!. Lots of our other skiers also did really well at this enormous regional event. Full results can be viewed for all the weekend’s racing when available at Summit Racing.
Many thanks also to Coach Luna for submitting the great images, from top to bottom, Abby Murphy, Nate Streubel, and Ryan Thompson.
If you’re not spectating in Utah or racing at the Spud Chase, today would be a great day to ski at Trail Creek. Last night was once again a bit chilly getting down to around zero. The fascinating part of the weather is that we’ve received a solid half inch of frost snow which has effectively put a fresh coat on our ski trails. The Husky made an early morning start today, covering pretty much every trail with at least a single pass. Classic tracks were reset where merited and Moose Loop, Animal Farm, and the fields mostly received a total rework with multiple passes and fresh classic tracks. The cool stable conditions allow for continued nice skiing.
Look for an inch or two of fresh snow in the next 24 hours.
Groomer’s choice for today is Moose Loop.
