January 1st Grooming Report
Happy New Year!
May 2025 bring you smooth trails leading to a wonderfully bright, colorful, and fulfilling destination! Perhaps part of that journey could be a great Nordic ski at Trail Creek today.
If you are able to venture out today, you will discover that the Husky has once again been hard at work. Today’s grooming began with a single skate/classic pass through most of the woods trails. After that lap which did encounter several groups of elk and moose this morning, scattered hither and yon, the attention turned to the fields. The East Fields received a skate/classic pass while the Close Field received multiple passes.
Since grooming began about an inch has fallen with the current forecast calling for a total of 7-12 inches by tomorrow morning. A few skiers have already been out already, although for some reason, the early morning crowd was perhaps a bit light today. The IMD skiers are on schedule for this afternoon but no other teams will probably be out until Friday.
