January 1st Grooming Report
Happy New Year!
We made it, 2021 has arrived! What better thing to do on the first day of a promising new year than to go on a great Nordic ski and what better place to do that than at Trail Creek!
If you make it out today you will find that almost all trails received at least two skate passes with the Ginzu groomer resulting in some really nice, if perhaps a bit soft skiing. Classic tracks were untouched today but are also mostly in nice shape. Temps were in the Nordic sweet zone of around 20ºF with steady very light snow not really amounting to much of anything.
Look for a total reset of classic tracks when the snow totals move into the 2 inch range.
There was a bit of a bonus experience today when Jumbo and Lopsided decided to put on a bit of a sparring match near Sam the Truck. Jumbo was basically showing Lopsided to stay in his place. Click on the image below and you can watch the video.
