January 16th Grooming Report
Course Inspection!
It is a wild day today at Trail Creek; not only are the teams streaming in for Friday and Saturday’s Johnny Curtis Memorial Race, but Wilson Winter Sports skiers are also out and about doing their Nordic thing as well. Never fear, there is still plenty of room for you to come on out today for a great Nordic ski!
Today’s grooming was pretty much on every trail. The fields are thoroughly buffed in a hybrid pattern of the next two day’s race courses and in addition, every woods trail has been double Pisten Bully set either today or yesterday. Throw in a couple of warm up lanes and we are at a season high for groomed trails and there mostly in really good shape.
Things will be busy today but you are welcome to ski anywhere as long as you respect the racing teams practice sessions. During the races a shuttle will be running from Stilson so that you can come out and cheer on your team although the courses will be closed for skiing to the public. You are however welcome to ski in the woods although it is uncertain at this time how much additional grooming will be done until Sunday.
Groomer’s choice for today is to come out and witness the spectacle.
