January 11th Grooming Report

Total Refresh!

Four to eight inches of snow drifted onto our trails overnight, allowing the Husky to freshen things nicely today.  Today’s grooming was mostly a single Husky pass with classic tracks on almost every trail in the system with multiple passes around the Close Field.  The recent snow was of moderate density, rather surprising given the fact that the snowfall started out in such cold conditions, however the snow density and the warmer temps today (23ºF as of report time), allowed the snow to firm nicely.  Skiing is quite nice wherever you decide to journey.  There was a bit of drifting overnight, but currently the winds are inconsequential.

Over the hill racing is ongoing at the Teton Ridge Classic.  Many of our IMD skiers are in attendance; results will be posted shortly with them being available on the event website.

Groomer’s choice for today is the Gill Huff Loop pictured at the top of the report.
