January 11th Grooming Report-Snow!

January 11th Grooming Report

Snow!

Looking at the forecast today, it is a relatively simple weather future; snow, then snow, and then some more snow.  About 8 additional inches have fallen since the end of grooming yesterday with no signs of it letting up.  As of 12:30 in addition to moderate snowfall, conditions were calm with a temperature of -6ºC/21ºF.

Today’s grooming was with the Pisten Bully which managed to visit nearly every trail in our network, however by the end of grooming nearly 3 inches had fallen on the morning’s first passes.  Taking into account this and the fact that some of the trails hadn’t been groomed for a few days has resulted in conditions for skaters that will be a bit on the rustic side.  In anticipation of lots of snow, the majority of today’s skiers have been of the classic variety and they have all in all been making good progress on the fresh classic tracks on most trails.

Groomer’s choice for today is Moose Loop.
