February 9th Grooming Report
Simply Glorious!
It just doesn’t get much better than this; endless blue sky, calm winds, Nordic friendly -5º/23º temps, and feet of beautiful snow groomed just for your skiing delight. There is still time today to grab those skis and take advantage of winter bliss.
Yesterday was an amazing day at Trail Creek; we want to send out a big thanks to all the participants and especially the volunteers that helped us to launch our inaugural Nordic Carnival. Even though we had howling winds and more or less a raging blizzard, participants from 2 to 82 seemed to have a great time. Amazingly enough even with Gut Flop and the Nordic X course there was only a little blood on the snow, but mostly lots of smiles and Nordic camaraderie.
Today’s grooming was with the Pisten Bully and was mostly a game of catch up from recent huge snowfalls and races. While there was a little of this and a little of that almost everywhere, the result was the pretty much every trail received grooming. A few places did not get classic tracks today, but all in all you should be able to take your favorite route and have a good time skate or classic.
Groomer’s choice for today is to enjoy the sunshine.
