February 3rd Grooming Report
Junior National Qualifier #3 Week!
This is a very important week for our IMD racers as they will be travelling to West Yellowstone, Montana for the second of three Junior National Qualifiers. Our high school age IMD skiers and most Juniors will be making the trip. In another direction, the Jackson High School team will be racing Friday and Saturday in Casper, and the rest of our JHSC programs will be up to their usual busy antics this week.
Today was a wild one for the Husky. The rain on the wet heavy snow resulted in conditions that gave it a pretty good workout. However, after powering through the wet stuff, several skier reports were that conditions were really nice. While you might notice a few hiccups here and there as the trusty snow cat had some issues climbing hills, all in all you’ll have a great time if you make it out for a ski today.
Today’s route included a single pass on most woods trails and the East Fields as well. Multiple passes around the Close Field, and lots of the minor trails in the fields and around the cabin in preparation for a busy practice day.
Groomer’s choice for today is Beaver Ponds.
