February 25th Grooming Report

Tandem Teewinot Teamwork!

It looks like yesterday the Teewinots broke out the tandem skis.  What a great way to learn how to work together; the Teewinots seem to have a never ending variety of ways to have a good time on Nordic skis!  Thanks Coach Libby for the great shots.

You can have a great time on Nordic skis today if you come out to Trail Creek.  It’s been a bit of a tempestuous Tuesday with snow squalls, sunshine, snow devils, wind blasts, and brief periods of absolute calm all happening in a short period of time.  As of report time there’s some sun, moderate breezes, and a temperature of 36º.

Today’s Husky grooming began with a journey through every trail in the woods.  Classic tracks were reset everywhere and multiple passes happened on Woolsey Woods and Moose Loop.  Grooming then shifted to the fields with multiple passes and fresh classic tracks everywhere.  The periodic wind gusts have hammered the classic tracks a bit, but the woods should be lovely today for classic skiers and skaters should do fine everywhere.

Groomer’s choice for today is Woolsey Woods.
