February 21st Grooming Report
Unstoppable Snow!
For those unable to puzzle out this photo, this is post-grooming! A few bold skate skiers dared the frozen waters of Trail Creek today, but within a few hours of grooming, 4+ inches of snow had already covered the trails, with more on the way. Suffice to say, today’s conditions could best be described as ‘rustic’! Fortunately, the air is warm and the cabin warmer still, so if you get soaking wet out in the snow, be sure to stop by and dry out by the fire before hopping in the car and fogging up your windows!
Today’s grooming was a best-line pass of the course. The groomer took advantage of the new snow to wipe out the classic track on the skate segment(not that it was still visible, anyway!) and both the classic and skate courses received a single pass – mostly to mark the trail, since otherwise it would be completely invisible come tomorrow! Classic skiing is advised, and even then, it’ll be closer to breaking trail than anything, but if you want a nice workout, today is the day for you!
Groomer’s choice is Outward Bound and Boiler, as the last wooded trails to be groomed they will probably be best.
