February 17th Grooming Report
Crisp Corduroy
It was a brisk -7 degrees at Trail Creek this morning, which was perfect for making clean, smooth, and crisp corduroy. Skaters especially might want to get out and enjoy it today while it lasts, because the upcoming week is looking glorious! Heavy snow on multiple days should make the groomer’s job more difficult, but the skiing a dream.
Today’s grooming was best-line passes on most wooded trails, with fields trails having the classic tracks reset as needed depending on the drifting, itself largely determined by the angle of the trail relative to the wind. The ski team is off to Bozeman for the weekend, so most of the stadiums were left as they are, but the main Stadium was groomed and looks very nice at the moment.
Groomer’s choice is Mugs Meadow.
