February 14th Grooming Report
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Coach Libby and crew were celebrating Valentine’s Day earlier in the week and grabbed some great photos, thanks Coach Libby for the great images and fun times! What better way to have a fun time with your valentine today than to come on out to Trail Creek for a great Valentines’ Day ski!
If you do come out, you’ll be able to witness first-hand the results of our Valentine’s Day snow storm. Overnight around a foot to a foot and a half of fresh snow has blanketed the trails of Trail Creek. The snow started out incredibly cold, but as the night went on, the temperature increased as did the density. As of report time the temperature has warmed all the way to 27º and conditions are looking a little soft but good.
The Husky was hard at it today, making multiple passes of the Moose Chase Course. While online registration has closed, it is still possible to register between 8 and 9 AM tomorrow on race day. While this is a free style race, there will be a limited amount of classic tracks in the wider sections if you’re thinking of getting out your kick wax tomorrow. The forecast is for a little more snow overnight with a start time temperature of 20º. If you’ve been thinking about skiing the Moose Chase, it should be a great one tomorrow!
