February 11th Grooming Report
Course Inspection!
The teams are on the course this morning, seeing how Wyoming snow and high elevation skis in preparation for tomorrow’s first race of the week. Tomorrow’s venue is a 10 AM start, 7.5 K, three lap classic race in the close field (course map). The portable office in the background is the headquarters for the live video feed.
You will be able to follow along online watching the live racing by going to the USCSA Live Broadcast Page. The schedule is as follows although races are reported to be starting at 10 AM each day:

In other Nordic news, Coach Ben (currently in Alaska for Junior Nationals) sent the following report about the Western Club Championships where many of our junior skiers raced this weekend,
“First off congratulations to all of the Western Club Championships Athletes for fantastic races and for following through with training and racing during the championships/end of season period. Your efforts will undoubtedly carry over into next year and going through the motions, in terms of mental preparation and execution, is an excellent way to finish of the season. Congrats to our podium finishers.
- Aurora Stiles (racing up as a U16) -1st classic 5km. 1st team sprint with Sydney Wilmot. 2nd in the 5km skate pursuit.
- Sydney Wilmot (U16) - 1st team sprint with Aurora Stiles. 1st i in the 5km skate pursuit.
- Josh Roubin (U16) 2nd in the 5km skate pursuit
Thanks to the coaching staff, Calvin, Bria and Sevi for supporting all of the athletes for one more race weekend. The team couldn't do it without you guys.”

As to skiing at Trail Creek, everything is open to the public today although all the USCSA course will be closed tomorrow. Last night the USCSA course was groomed and will be groomed again this evening. Anticipate late afternoon grooming on the 5 K Sandbag Final course today which will be open to the public all week via the end of the Old Pass Road.
Groomer’s choice for today is to find your way to experience some of the excitement of our big race.
